We lost a friend, wife, sister and mother today.  LORD please be with all those who grieve this loss.  Bring good memories and funny stories and memories to remembrance today so the sadness can be punctuated by joy.  Embrace all those who cry in your tender arms of mercy.

LORD thank you for always putting food on my table over the years.  Please help those who have nothing to eat today.  May we as the church be your hands and feet to meet the hungry and give them food to eat.  Especially the children and those who are elderly.  Thank you for remembering us LORD.

LORD thank you so much for family.  In this life I have often been the new person the stranger.  It is nice to have family that love you and know you.  It is refreshing for the heart and mind.

LORD help us to trust in your love for us.  Help us to know and to understand how much you care for us all.  It is hard to trust sometimes because we have been let down many times by others and ourselves. Help us to see you for who you really are and who we really are wrapped up in Christ Jesus.

LORD many people in my life are recovering from surgery or are facing a surgery.  Please comfort them as they face the challenges of going through these procedures.  Please give the doctors and nurses the skill that they need.  Give those who help heal us good health and peace of mind.  Please bless their families as well as they spend long hours away from them.

LORD please help my nephew today.  He needs you.  Let your love surround Him and may you heal all his areas of hurt and difficulties.  May his life take a turn for better and may forgiveness for himself and others flow in his life.  May anger be let go of and may he begin to walk in ways that will change his future into something different than his recent past has been.  May he understand how precious he is to You.  Thank you for always hearing my prayers and let him know that he is loved by his family, not only in words and intellectually, but a deep abiding understanding that he is loved.  That his heart may be "strangely warmed" by that understanding.  May those in his family who are hurt find peace in this relationship.  Thank you for caring about each of us in such a personal way that we can ask you for these things.  I love you Father. <3

LORD help my heart be still before You.  May my life be one that brings joy and not sorrow to You and to others.  May I love in such a way that brings a difference into the world.  Our time is short here let mine bring good and not evil.  Forgive me for all the times I have hurt others through my own selfishness and ignorance.  May others be able to forgive me as well for those same reasons.  Most importantly of all give me the grace to forgive others when I feel hurt or offended.  Let not my heart worry about things that are too high for me to understand.  Please help me not imagine evil in my heart against anyone for anything.  Let my thoughts be pure and my actions full of integrity.  Give me wisdom to discern right from wrong.

Father so many people have been disrupted due to severe weather recently.  Please have mercy on us and help us to restore and recover from these disasters.  Comfort those who have lost loved ones.  May from the rubble a new day be rebuilt, let the resources be available to all those who need them.  Bring peace where there may be no peace, healing where there is injury and hurt.

Father so many of my loved ones are hurting today.  Please come down and touch them with your gentle Spirit and comfort them.  Give them a song in their heart to express the feelings of hurt or confusion. Surround them with loving people that can wrap their arms around them as I am so far away.  Let mourning turn into joy!

May the LORD of Glory be ever present in our hearts.  May His mercy overshadow those things that need mercy and may we be able to recieve those blessings.  May our hearts ever rejoice in the finished work of the cross.
